Dating back to the Ming Dynasty (5th century), mud silk (also known as Xiangyunsha or gambiered silk) is created through a meticulous, seasonal process: raw silk is repeatedly soaked in natural plant dyes and then steeped in iron-rich Pearl River mud, sun‑dried, rinsed, and cured up to 30–40 times, in the span of months.

The result is a fabric that is resistant to water, naturally antibacterial, and beautifully textured. We’ve matched this extraordinary material with a sturdy cotton-canvas lining and added two side pockets—ideal for stashing your phone, keys, and small essentials while effortlessly carrying you from your work week to weekend adventures with ease.
